Description

"Cecily Hawthorne is posing as a model in a bachelor artist's studio in Victorian London, an objectionable carreer for a proper young woman. But her parents had died leaving her with no inheritance so she must earn her way as a servant in the rich and fashionable Chelsea district of London. There she meets the mysterious Devin, an artist obsessed with an idea of painting a temptress to shock London society and make the model the envy of the ladies and the talk of the town.
