- No. Payment is for official full-text processing and deliverables — not for a target rating. Billing and rating review are handled separately, and anyone can suggest corrections on any book page.
- What do I need to submit?
- A complete manuscript or publisher transcript (PDF, DOCX, or EPUB), plus basic metadata. We begin review within 48 business hours and email you when your report and badge are ready.
- How is this different from the free rating on my book page?
- Free ratings use AI on descriptions and metadata. They may show low-confidence warnings or hide scores below 50% confidence. Official scans read the full text and display verified ratings with the official banner.
- Can I use the badge on my cover before launch?
- Yes — that’s the best time. Print packages include files sized for back cover and retail metadata so families see verified LRS scores at purchase.
