About the Looky Rating System
The Looky Rating System (LRS) uses advanced AI to analyze book content across 8 categories, rating each on a 0-5 scale. It also provides an age recommendation based on sources like Common Sense Media, publisher data, and content complexity analysis.
The LRS is designed to be informational, not censorial. We don't tell families what to read — we give them the information to decide for themselves. A high rating in a category doesn't mean a book is “bad” — it simply means that theme is prominently present.
