Description
Although their parents warned them every day never to go into the deep dark woods, Hanzel (who was a forgetful kid) led his sister into the woods, where they got lost. Fortunately, they spotted a cottage there, and although Hanzel assured his sister, Pretzel, that it wasn't the witch's cottage, he was wrong about that, too, and ended up on a cage. Pretzel convinced the witch to fatten him up first, which she did by feeding him pieces of her house, one day the door, then the porch, followed by the roof. Finally she decided to eat him anyway, but Hanzel escaped and raced around the kettle with the witch in hot pursuit. When the witch reached across the kettle to grab him, Pretzel pushed her in. The children finished eating the cottage, hopped on the broom and flew home. The witch became a vegetarian and opened a health food store.
