He strutted around with such a jaunty hop-and-skip rhythm to his gait, that he was named after the 18th-century composer Amadeus.. His haughty cock-a-doodle-doo was heard throughout the small Gullah community. Visitors came from near and far to see this beautiful leghorn rooster.
