Description

Anna the cow begins life on a farm in late August. Two weeks later she finds herself at an auction, crammed in a crowded pen with seven male Holstein calves. Nobody wants to buy the animals until farmer Victor Sullivan takes pity on them, not suspecting that one is female. Soon the farmer’s young son adopts Anna, and together they experience all the trials and joys of life on a busy farm. Seasons change, crops are harvested, and animals are born and die — these events always punctuated by gatherings of family and friends.
