Description
This introduction to Philosophy in Literature examines the ways in which authors in the British, American and Continental literary traditions have explored human nature through the lenses of the philosophical influences of their times. As opposed to a text on the Philosophy of Literature, or Philosophy as Literature, this book looks at the way in which philosophical ideas have been pursued by these authors and examines the philosophical works they draw upon.
