Description

HAFIZ (HAFEZ)T elevision, Film, Stage, Radio by Paul Smith From the Preface: I was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1945. My family lived in the bayside-suburb of Parkdale. Even before I was eight I was composing poems/songs in the particular ancient form of ghazals although at the time I didn't know what they were. In 1972 I began work on a translation of the 791 poems/songs (mainly ghazals) of the Divan of Hafiz. This work would take me twelve years to complete.
