Description

The land use planning systems of the world are remarkably similar. Yet real urban problems - crime, drug abuse, inequity, alienation - are not easily solved by a traditional strategic planning process. Planning regimes are therefore under constant pressure to adjust, but often with a lack of knowledge of how things might be done better. Even though each regime arises in a cultural milieu, international trends can be spotted and best practices discerned.
