Description

When she was two, Mandy was found to be deaf and possibly brain-damaged. Suddenly it all made sense- her rages, drinking water from her potty, gobbling six bananas in as many minutes, crashing through the house with a shovel, breaking everything in her path. A child isolated from the world by the silence barrier, trying to break through with storms of sound and destruction.
